Secret 7"

I recently had the pleasure of entering 3 of my designs in Talenthouse's great initiative, Secret 7".
Secret 7" is an exciting project combining music and art in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Seven bands and recording artists (Florence + The Machine, The Cure, DJ Shadow, Ben Howard, CSS, Noah and The Whale and Bombay Bicycle Club) invited creatives to design the artwork for a seven inch vinyl sleeve inspired by one of their songs.

Each band will select 45 designs to be printed on a Secret 7″ vinyl sleeve which will be sold and exhibited in a gallery in East London in the week leading up to the Record Store Day on April 21st, 2012. The five highest-voted designs will also be produced and sold. On the final day of the exhibit, one copy of each vinyl will be sold with proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust. Since the vinyls will be secret and the buyers won’t know which song they are purchasing, it’s up to you to create an appealing representation of the song you design for. None of the buyers will know who created the sleeve, or even which song it's for, until they are holding it in their hands - the secret lies within.
Each winner will receive a copy of their 7″ vinyl signed by the artist and recognition on a website dedicated to the winning designs. The five highest-voted artists will get the same incentives.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity that strives to meet the needs of cancer-stricken teenagers and young adults by providing NHS hospitals with specialist teenage units. Their goal is to ensure that every teenager receives the best care and support throughout the entirety of their experience with cancer.
