This is a poster I designed and illustrated for The Inner West Council's 2017 Lunar New Year festivities, through my work at Sweets Workshop.


The festivities celebrate, the tenth sign of the 12-year cycle and it is represented by a Rooster. In Chinese astrology, each year is associated with a Chinese zodiac animal sign and also one of the Five Elements, which makes 2017 a Fire Rooster.


I had a great time illustrating this regal golden Fire Rooster and  I used a traditional style and colour palate so it would be instantly recognisable as poster for Chinese New Year!
