The Idea for MIXATOR came out of the work
I’ve been doing on the Superhero Game. (speaking of the superhero game I
probably should do an updated post on that project sometime soon). Anyway as I was
thinking up ideas for characters I began thinking about all the bumbling,
hapless and annoying villains from the cartoons I grew watching. I wondered if
they all got together and combined their powers into the ultimate evil would they be able to
defeat their respective heroes….. finally.
When designing the look of this illustration I took on a few stylistic references from cartoons and action figure packaging design of the 1980s how many references can you spot?
